HE Hall & Son Ltd is a small 124 hectare family farming business established in 1896 and currently managed by Peter Hall. Thirty hectares of apples, pears and plums are conventionally farmed, the remainder of the land is farmed organically, certified by The Soil Association, and includes the country's only traditional organic hop garden.

In April 2007, a 4 hectare, state of the art organic 'concept' orchard was planted in collaboration with our partners OrchardWorld and Sainsburys.

We have a fruit packhouse which operates for twelve months of the year supplying both organically and conventionally produced fruit exclusively to Sainsburys.

We are the UK agents for French company Xeda International - specialists in produce labelling and post harvest storage treatments.

The Company has a long history of environmental stewardship and has won a number of awards for the sympathetic approach shown to the local ecology whilst maintaining the highest production standards. The farm is an active member of Operation Bumblebee, and is currently participating in the RSPB farmland bird survey.
