Our Apple Varieties

We primarily produce the ‘King of Cookers', The Bramley. These huge bright green apples combine a wonderful sweetness with great natural acidity. When stewed, they break down to foaming perfection - the only filling for a crumble or a pie!

We produce small quantities of dessert apples. These trees are used as pollinators in the Bramley orchards and include Royal Gala and Egremont Russet

How we do it

  • Prune the trees in late December to early February
  • Full bloom in late April to early May
  • Hand thin the crop in June
  • Feed and protect the crop throughout the summer
  • Harvest Bramley in late August to early September
  • Harvest Royal Gala in mid September
  • Harvest Egremont Russet from mid to late September
